Senior appointments end DIA restructuring

DIA’s London office is putting the final touches to its restructure, recruiting three new senior positions and a replacement for Martin Kelly, who resigned as head of display this autumn (DW 31 September).

Kelly is believed to have been initially replaced by Paul Clarke, who left after less than a week. But both Clarke and DIA denied he was taken on as Kelly’s replacement. Paul Kalwa, who previously ran his own consultancy, has now taken up the post.

DIA has made two job offers: to a senior 3D designer for its exhibition and conference division; and to a business development manager at its interactive unit. “Due to their employment circumstances I cannot name them,” says managing director Barry Salter.

Lori Hayden has joined DIA from Bull Rodger as account director of its corporate communications division.

These appointments follow the creation of two further positions last month. The restructure has been ongoing for 18 months and has led to a number of senior resignations. All have been replaced (DW 21 November).

At DIA’s Singapore office Katie Warner is signed up to join as design director. This comes on the back of a sustained increase in work, says Salter.

Warner takes up the post on 1 January from Cato Consultings’ UK branch, where she was a consultant.

DIA’s Singapore office is now eight-strong. Clients include Asia Pacific Breweries, F&N Coca Cola and Singapore Airlines.
