Frayling chairs Arts Council

Sir Christopher Frayling, the rector of the Royal College and Design Council chairman, is to add another string to his bow with his appointment as the next chairman of Arts Council England.

Frayling succeeds Gerry Robinson, whose term has seen wholesale reforms of the council and an increase in Government funding. He takes up the unpaid post in January for a four-year tenure.
