Lucid has created the corporate identity for Perstorp Surface Materials, following its acquisition by the Formica Corporation last year.
Lucid was awarded the project following a credentials pitch six months ago.
The logo, which incorporates the letters ‘P’, ‘S’ and ‘M’ within four blue circles, was launched last week across signage, stationery and product literature.
The design of PSM’s identity aims to help refocus the company under the new corporate umbrella, explains Formica Corporation marketing manager John Hodkinson. He says that Lucid has successfully captured the brand values of PSM.
“The use of circles and the blue/ cyan colour demonstrates an evolutionary process of development, while also repositioning an innovative brand within an established market,” says Hodkinson.
The PSM project forms part of a wider strategic brand review of all Formica’s interests in Europe.
