Crafty stuff from Butcher & Gundersen

Europe’s biggest craft store has opened in Milton Keynes. Called Craft World, the 2300m2 store is likely to be followed by more openings and built into a national chain if successful.

Design, including name-generation, identity, promotional literature and signage, is by Butcher & Gundersen.

The London consultancy won the work on the strength of a similar project it did for the same client’s launch of the Pet City chain.

Craft World has “everything and anything to do with crafts”, says a Butcher & Gundersen spokeswoman. Items stocked range from dried flowers to beads, with a comprehensive range of fine art materials aimed at both the hobby and professional ends of the market.

All Craft World outlets will be located in retail parks.
