Exhibitions

Brilliant, from 12 February to the 25 April, is an exhibition of contemporary lighting featuring installations by Ingo Maurer, Tord Boontje and Karim Rashid among others. The works on display range from the strictly functional to the wildly ostentatious.

Venue: Victoria & Albert Museum, Cromwell Road, London SW7.

From 18-28 February Originals 04, the contemporary printmaking show, presents a selection of prints chosen by a panel of well established judges (example above). The exhibition has been launched in place of the National Print Exhibition.

Venue: The Mall Galleries, The Mall, London SW1.

Asymmetric Chamber is architect David Adjaye’s first UK exhibition and continues until 8 March.

Metal designer Michael Rowe‘s recent work is on display from 12 February-9 May (example below). The show is on tour from Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery.

Venue: Manchester Art Gallery, Mosley Street, Manchester M2 3JL.

Red is the third student and staff exhibition at the Northumbria University School of Design, featuring the work of 30 staff and more than 100 students. It runs from 18 February-5 March.

Venue: Foyer Gallery, Squires Building, Sandyford Road, Newcastle upon Tyne NE1 8ST.
