The Crafts Council
The Crafts Council has unveiled a logo refresh and updated print collateral, by Intro. The latest identity (right) is part of its strategic push to strengthen the UK as a global centre for contemporary craft. The reworking of the marque, according to Intro, has been kept to a minimum, to retain the recognition of the original. It will be followed by an overhaul of the organisation’s website later this year. The Crafts Council is in the process of appointing a group.
What is gained in legibility and contemporaneousness is lost by mechanism and computerisation.
Away with humanism, this the soulless age of robot’s crafts. (See the choice of the OCR-B font in the brochures.)
I like it though. I’m an android.
