Marks & Spencer has denied press reports that it has appointed New York design group Interbrand Gerstman and Meyers to halt its declining sales.

“Interbrand Newell and Sorrell is involved, but not Interbrand Gerstman and Meyers,” explains and M&S spokeswoman.

The spokeswoman says, “We have a strong brand, but we need to exploit it better. Interbrand Newell and Sorrell is helping us achieve it on a wide aspect and variety of our business.”

No date has yet been set for the revamp to be completed, though the spokeswoman confirms it will be sometime this year.
