Inspired

At Construct, we are constantly looking, exploring and searching for new and exciting ideas to inspire our clients and their consumers. Great architecture, unique environments, clever communications and powerful imagery all act as sources we draw from.

However, when I really thought about what inspires me personally, it doesn’t come from these sources, it comes from people, quite often lunatics. 

It’s rare to meet somebody who just by being themselves can inspire you to think differently about yourself and challenge the way you approach certain things in life. I’m not talking about famous people, like when you meet the Queen; it’s people you know and love or meet along the way.

Often it’s not even what they say that inspires me – it’s their very act of being. People who smile a lot, who freak out on the dance floor, who wear crazy outfits and think it’s normal, who just get on with anyone, who never act their age, who know what they want and go for it, who make me laugh until I’m crying, who have a strong sense of self belief, who will never be mainstream and, most of all, who are visionary.

Inspirational people come in many guises. The ones I’ve met so far have made me who I am. Here’s to being a freak.
