The BBC has redesigned its channel junctions to aid ‘navigation’ for BBC 1 viewers. According to design director Kevin Hill, the BBC undertook extensive research to ensure the junctions suited the needs of stakeholders. ‘People often aren’t aware of what channel they are watching. The challenge was to drive credit for its programming back to BBC 1,’ explains Hill.
