More frequently associated with Silicon Graphics apps Canadian software house Vertigo has produced a 3D text tool called HotText for Mac and Windows. It allows you to align 3D text along custom paths and light it and add surface effects. You can use it as a pull-down in Adobe apps and the retail price is 150. Principal is the distributor but it will be in the shops soon.
