Senior creatives show off best sides when profiled
I agree with Ian Cochrane’s quote, ‘no-one should ever be hired at a senior level without being profiled beforehand’ (DW 28 February).
As a psychometric tester, I know this is a valuable tool that can highlight the key motivators of a potential recruit. It can also be used in team building and appraisals.
While I wouldn’t recommend it is used in isolation of recruitment experience, industry knowledge and sound understanding of the role in question, we always offer to profile our senior-level candidates as a final check.
