Bowel cancer charity’s bog standard identity

I do not know Brian Green or have any axe to grind with him and am sure he is an excellent designer. But I feel that his work for the Beating Bowel Cancer charity is ill-conceived and has seriously missed the mark (DW 1 September).

Working for any charity is a demanding exercise and difficult at the best of times because of their nature, but for this particular work to have drawn it’s inspiration from the toilet and the colour of blood seems to me to have missed out on a brilliant opportunity.

Shouldn’t it be more focused on the excellent survival rate and treatability of the condition rather than the images we all hope we will never experience?
