DB Consulting picks up Fresh01 for identity job

DB Consulting, an information technology consultancy, will this week sign off a revamped corporate identity designed by Fresh01, in a project worth over £40 000 in design fees to the consultancy.

The revamped logo will be applied across the company’s website, marketing material and stationery. The group will also create a digital identity manual to enable DB Consulting to create own-branded documents in-house.

The brief was to update the identity in a form that would work well on e-mail and the Internet to tie in with the launch of a major Web-based marketing campaign planned for November, says DB Consulting marketing director Martin Ryan.

Fresh01 creative director Kurt Ozficici, who is leading the project, says the consultancy has ‘tweaked’ the logo to make it ‘tighter and more readable’.

‘[The logo] is in a standard font, but we’ve given it character and personality by aligning the curves and making the angles the same,’ he says.

Ozficici says colours and photography on the website will be muted to reflect the company’s serious and professional image.

The consultancy will also develop a library of images and templates. ‘The idea is [DB Consulting] can create documents that satisfies its needs without breaking away from the brand,’ he says.

Fresh01 was appointed two weeks ago following a four-way credentials pitch.
