BBC MediaArc has designed titles for a BBC2 series, The Ship, which charts Captain Cook’s discovery of Australia. The titles utilise journey lines holding typographic elements to create an undulating, sea-like surface, says BBC MediaArc design director Paula Williams.

Fitch Worldwide has appointed Kevin Roche as chief executive officer of the group’s North American arm. Roche, former president and chief executive officer of FRCH Worldwide Design, joins from the travel retail side of the luxury goods group LVMH/DFS.
