Identity for merged giants looks familiar

I was interested to read about the recent merger of Camas and Bardon to form Aggregate Industries (DW 25 April) and Radley Yeldar’s new identity for the company, “created” in just four days, thanks to their “intuition, experience and good luck”.

However, I couldn’t help noticing a striking similarity with the old Camas logo – could it be that the two are related?
