Matthew gets carried away and puts his foot in it

Milliken rolled out the red carpet tiles last week for the launch of its first London studio, 5tudio, designed by Conran Design Group.

Tiles designed by the likes of designer Oscar Wilson, whose Revenge of the Milltron 1950s sci-fi tiles bore down on the guests entering the Clerkenwell studio and who also provided the tunes for the evening, adorned the walls.

The floor tiles with the studio’s ‘5’ logo didn’t fare so well, however. CDG senior designer Rupert Matthew got a bit carried away with the canapés, knocking a load to the floor before grinding them thoroughly into the tiles by mistake.

Designers, hey? You can’t take ’em anywhere.
