Entranet in European campaign

Digital media consultancy Entranet is embarking on an ambitious plan to become the leading e-commerce design group in Europe.

In this month’s Design Week Digital Media Survey, the group was ranked joint largest, in staff terms, with Blueberry.Net (DW 3 December).

As a result of a £10m investment by private equity firm General Atlantic, Entranet is now gearing up for the launch of a pan-European expansion drive into Germany, Holland and Spain.

The group plans to expand from its current complement of 100 staff to 600 by the end of next year, in what Entranet founder and managing director Nick Spooner calls the biggest ever investment made in a British on-line commerce venture.

“Our [immediate] expansion plans are to create 150 new jobs in the Goring-on-Thames area and 100 jobs in Holland, Spain and Germany. We are looking for great creative-minded people in business development, sales and marketing, IT and organisational design,” he says.

Vacancies exist at senior, intermediate and junior levels, and Spooner adds that Entranet’s recruitment procedures are very stringent. “We will be targeting the fastest moving markets for clients,” he says.

The full service digital consultancy lists Williams F1, Eagle Star Direct, The Co-operative Bank, and Woolwich Open Plan Services among its clients.
