New year sees new chairman

The new chairman of the Design Council will be announced in January. Outgoing chairman John Sorrell CBE will stay until the end of March, allowing a successor time to move into the role.

A new chairman was due to take over from Sorrell at the end of this month, but, according to a spokesman for the Department of Trade and Industry, Sorrell wants to see the council’s Millennium Projects through to their conclusion.
