The temptation to label this work `tacky’ will be resisted. The Nail Stool, pictured, is dual purpose – the nail seat can be removed from its wooden base and pushed into the lawn for use in the garden. And the wooden base then makes an attractive piece of wood with hundreds of practical uses. The stool is soon to be launched as part of the Gothic range of kitchen and bathroom fittings designed by Stephen Einhorn. Nail hooks, a nail cupboard and nail drawer knobs are also in hand, but as yet Einhorn has no plans for a huge set of pliers.
