Bus stops learning

A national survey due to be released in the summer by the Office for National Statistics reportedly shows that half the UK’s adult population is illiterate and therefore unable, at least in theory, to cope with life in the modern world. The finding is partly based on a study in which half of the 3800 participants could not read a bus timetable. The result is in no way a reflection of the way bus timetables are designed, and no mention has been made of the sometimes intangible connection between bus timetables and real life in any world.
