Posters for Gallery Week should cause a bit of a stir in the staid world of art. They feature the catchline ‘You never know when you’ll appreciate art’ alongside some cheeky images. Created by Ogilvy & Mather, they take an irreverent approach. The Advertising Standards Authority will no doubt be inundated with calls from Outraged of Tunbridge Wells.

Corporate Edge, the branding consultancy launched last week, decided to target its launch budget carefully. A bright red ‘human statue’ drew attention to the consultancy among a target group of influential media types – namely the DW editorial team – by taking up residence outside the magazine’s Soho office. Just one thing was overlooked. We had already written about the launch of the consultancy in the issue published that morning. As its managing director Bridget Ruffell told us then, the consultancy will attempt to combine creativity and strategy credibly. Good start.
