PizzaExpress expands

PizzaExpress plans to expand the chain from 200 to 400 outlets in the UK over the next five years.

New sites will be designed in-house following ‘a thematic broadbrush design’, although each PizzaExpress restaurant always has its own identity and look, says Matthew Sewell, director for design and development at PizzaExpress.

So far this year, 38 new restaurants have been launched. The group also owns 13 Café Pasta sites across the UK.
