New formats for cancer drives

London design groups Blue Bark and Hill Rae Smith Graphics have produced communications material for the Breast Cancer Campaign and Breast Cancer Care respectively.

Blue Bark’s work is targeting schools, colleges and universities through two publications which will be distributed at the start of the new educational year. They are designed to be informative about both the charity’s work and the dangers of breast cancer, and to encourage fundraising by students.

Blue Bark account handler Kate Hind says the consultancy has “moved away” from the charity’s traditional approach. “By introducing a new cost effective format, fluorescent colours and a touch of humour, we produced an informative and entertaining pack which will hopefully help the BCC raise significant amounts of cash,” she adds.

Meanwhile, Breast Cancer Care, a national organisation offering information and support to those affected by breast cancer, launched its annual review this week, designed by HRSG. The 12-page report features photography by Crispin Hughes and includes a number of quotes from people that are involved with the condition.
