Ziggurat has designed new packaging for the 30-strong range of cooked meats sold under the Mattessons name, in a project for brand owner Kerry Foods.
The consultancy was appointed after taking part in a strategy and credentials pitch against rivals including Design Bridge and Blue Marlin.
A new “bold and confident” Mattessons logo has been developed as part of the revamp, says Ziggurat account director Nicki Scott.
Contents photography has been used on the front of the revised packs, which have also been given a “peel ‘n’ reseal” structure to help the meats retain their freshness for longer.
The design of the packs aims to reflect lifestyle changes by emphasising how convenient cooked meats are for consumers. The new-look packaging will appear in food stores nationwide next week.
