Bezier Group to merge CRC and Bluetouch

Coutts Retail Communications is merging with sister company Bluetouch, following its acquisition by Bezier Group earlier this year.

The two point-of-sale design specialists will unite under the name Coutts Creative Shopper Marketing, the younger company Bluetouch dropping its title when the two studios merge next month. Bezier claims that all 80 employees from both companies will be retained.

‘The group is not set up in the style of WPP, which has many competing divisions,’ says a Bezier spokeswoman.

‘The specialisms of CRC and Bluetouch are similar, so we are bringing them together to offer a fully-rounded holistic retail marketing service to our clients.’

Bezier, which turned over nearly £120m this year, bought CRC from Media Square for £7.2m in March, as part of its plan to create a £130m network.

CRC’s clients include Disney, Universal and Fox, for which the consultancy designs pointof- sale materials.

CRC managing director John Savage reveals that it is looking to develop its retail insights offer.

‘This is an area we believe holds many significant opportunities. We are going to look at how different customer segments behave when shopping in different types of store.’
