Studio Acht in European jobs

Studio Acht has been appointed to create the masterplan for an out-of-town shopping centre outside Rotterdam in The Netherlands.

The project, in the Rivium district, is to be located opposite another centre the consultancy has recently completed.

Studio Acht, which comprises offices in Rotterdam, Prague and London, is also working on the conversion of a former communist building in the Czech Republic capital Prague into a shopping centre.

The city centre project will expand an existing 9300m2 horseshoe-shaped building into a 27 900m2 centre, says Chris Chanin, principal of Studio Acht in London.

Work is due to start for the Viennese client soon, adds Chanin.
