Bristol group Robson Dowry Associates has created packaging for No&#235l Ale, a Christmas drink for client Arkell’s Brewery.

Lumsden Design has won a three-strong paid creative pitch to design interiors for Habitat’s new Bluewater shopping centre store in Essex. The group was up against London groups Morey Smith and Gerard Taylor, which was recently appointed to design Habitat’s new Glasgow branch.

Evans Petty Associates has created a special merchandising unit for British American Tobacco, for duty free sales. The gravity-fed unit holds 450 000 cigarettes.

Peter Mitchelson has recently been appointed Associate Director of the John Herbert Partnership. He joined the group in l993 and has headed up a range of projects for clients including Asprey, Boots and Selfridges. He previously worked for Hosker Moore & Kent.

New York consultancy Anspach Grossman Enterprise has developed a new corporate brand identity for insurance products group Conseco.

International financial services provider Fortis is launching a brand identity created by Landor’s London office. The client, based in Belgium and The Netherlands, will introduce the marque to all its subsidiary companies from 31 March next year. The group operates as far afield as the US and the Caribbean. Currently it trades under a number of different names, some of which use the Fortis brand as a guarantee.

Swiss architect Herzog & De Meuron’s proposed building at Deptford Creekside has won the Laban Centre International Design Competition. Final development will depend on securing Arts Council Lottery funding.
