Someone rebrands Bethnal Green Old Town Hall as hotel

Bethnal Green Old Town Hall has been rebranded Town Hall Hotel and Apartments in a project by Someone which references the building’s Edwardian, Art Deco and modern interiors.

In March 2009 Someone was tasked by developer Peng Lo with branding the building to bring it in line with a change of use, partly taking cues from interior design by Rare Architecture.

The identity ’picks up on the previous use of the building and references themes of officialdom’, says Someone partner David Law.

Communications draw on the look and feel of ledgers and metal-framed cataloguing cards. Printed collateral and a website, all by the consultancy, will roll out ahead of the hotel’s opening, pencilled for late spring.

The revamped building will serve as a hotel and apartments, and be positioned as a spa, wedding venue and conference suite.
