Graduate wins Linbury Prize

Recent Saint Martins College of Art and Design graduate Miriam Buether has been named as overall winner of the 1999 Linbury Prize for Stage Design.

Chosen for her work on set and costume designs for Rambert Dance Company, Buether wins a £1750 prize, plus a £3000 design commission. She was chosen from a 12-strong shortlist selected from 145 initial entrants.

Established for 12 years, the biennial competition is sponsored by the Linbury Trust, one of the Sainsbury Family Charitable Trusts. In total, over £47 000 worth of prizes, commissions and production sponsorship is awarded every two years.
