Third Space stirs interiors for Chowdreys

Brighton consultancy Third Space has unveiled the final designs for Chowdreys, a contemporary Asian restaurant due to open next year in Bradford.

The 640m2, two-floor site will feature a large, double-glazed window that will act as a ‘visual icon’ for the restaurant, according to Antony Parham, managing director at Third Space.

A dark wood staircase featuring a fret-cut East Asian pattern will dominate the main ground floor restaurant area.

The motif will also be used across semi-open screens positioned throughout the restaurant. The first floor will feature a vaulted ceiling area for dining.

The project budget is expected to be between £350 000 and £400 000 and building work is underway.

According to Parham, ‘Islamic architecture and design was used as inspiration. It is a unique twist on Asian culture and overall the restaurant has a clean and contemporary look.’
