English National Opera has launched a campaign, created by photographer Giles Revell, for its forthcoming production of Carmen, which opens on 29 September. The concrete urban setting used by Revell contrasts with Carmen’s passion, while the free flow of the fabric symbolises the character’s desire for freedom and independence.
The museum will work with research studio Forensic Architecture on the installation, which is inspired by this year’s theme of “emotional states”.
