Sanyo is launching a new range of microwave ovens designed by Andy Davey at London consultancy TKO. The range of six models incorporates `a distinctive new product personality’, says Davey. It features a key-pad control versions sporting a membrane panel giving both physical and audible response, `especially welcome for partially sighted users’, says Davey. All the doors have child-proof locks. The exterior aims to break the mould of flat white boxes through a series of arcs and curves, including an arc across the door and a wave along the base, echoed in the display window.
