Meta staff work too hard at Hardwick St

Although it has plans to find a bigger office, MetaDesign London was proud to show Design Week its additional work space inside basement offices in Hardwick Street, EC1.

But, either new owner Icon Medialab has been driving the team too hard, forcing them to sleep in the office, or the task of moving desks and arranging furniture has taken its toll on staff of the recently-acquired design group.

Not only was one creative recovering from what appeared to be excess effort by lying outstretched on an empty bank of desks, but a second, around the corner, was introduced on his back, arched over something like a pile of polythene. ‘It’s because we are wacky creatives,’ moaned the suffering bod.

Design can be such a cruel mistress.
