Design-style mobbing is all good clean fun

Reading about Flash Mobbing – last week’s silly season phenomenon – having just struggled back from London’s grimy, stinky Oxford Street, we’d like to suggest a design version of the craze.

How about texting 100 or so designers, armed with stepladders and some Mr Sheen, and telling them to convene outside a particular retailer – say, one of those tacky places selling knock-off Moschino and trucker caps? Organised by a suitably enigmatic creative director, they could set about cleaning the offending shopfront.

We call it Facia Scrubbing. Will it catch on?
