WPP Group continues to turn in healthy figures, posting a 33 per cent increase in pre-tax profits for the year to end-1995. WPP’s UK design interests include BDG McColl, Coley Porter Bell, Sampson Tyrrell, Oakley Young and Scott Stern.
The media group turned in a pre-tax profit of 113.7m. Turnover increased by 9 per cent to 6.553bn, with operating profit showing a 24 per cent rise to 139.2m. Sampson Tyrrell, Oakley Young and Scott Stern were the UK design groups singled out for praise in the WPP board statement.
