British Design & Art Direction is set to appoint Seymour Powell co-founder Dick Powell (pictured below) as president elect next week, as Johnson Banks founder Michael Johnson passes the mantle of D&AD president to J Walter Thompson executive creative director Nick Bell.

The move paves the way for Powell to take the D&AD presidency at the end of January 2005.

Atelier Works creative director Quentin Newark, Williams Murray Hamm creative director Garrick Hamm and Professor Jeremy Myerson, will join the D&AD executive, while Trickett Associates partner Lynn Trickett will stand down.
