Field of flags

As (we hope) the heatwave continues and you find yourself lolling about in the sunshine, why not try something different this weekend and take a leaf out of artist Jon Adams book, by joining in the national Open Weekend for temporary public art.

‘This project is bound up inseparably with my dyslexia, the love of hidden meaning and the act of reading the landscape we live in, which is something we can do without needing the written word,’ Adams explains. ‘ I want to encourage people to go out into their local area and express themselves.’

The weekend is part of Portsmouth University’s Creative Campus Initiative and supported by London 2012 Cultural Olympiad campaign challenging people to discover new places.

Dysarticulate, from 23-25 July at various locations in Portsmouth, for more details visit http://www.london2012.com/events/field-of-flags-dysarticulate.php
