Telegramme designs website and branding for screen-printing event Poster Roast

Telegramme has designed the website and branding for Poster Roast, an exhibition and live art and music event promoting screen-printed gig posters.

Poster Roast’s founder – the design and illustration group We Three Club – appointed Telegramme without a pitch three months ago on the strength of the groups’ mutual interest in gig posters.

Currently in beta phase, the site – http://posterroast.com/site – features a news section, a blog and an online shop selling posters.

’We Three Club gave us an open brief, so we decided to create a one-stop shop that would showcase each of the main artists’ work,’ says Telegramme co-founder Robert Evans.

’The website is also there to keep the world up to date with what is happening in this scene, which is developing.’

The website bears Telegramme’s Poster Roast visual identity, which launched at the end of May. ’We wanted to keep a certain amount of screen-printed aesthetic for the logo, with a do-it-yourself hand-made format, but because there are 15 or 20 artists on the website with very different styles to each other, we had to keep the logo reasonably neutral,’ says Evans.

The website goes live at the next Poster Roast event, on 8 August at the Radfest festival in the Corsica Studios in London’s Elephant & Castle.
