Britain brand logo updates

The British Tourist Authority is bringing in a design consultancy to update its “Britain brand” logo which appears on all products marketing the UK overseas.

It has shortlisted Springpoint, Real Time Studio and another, unnamed group to take part in an unpaid creative pitch, and will make the appointment at the end of the month.

The British Tourist Authority’s own logo could also be revamped as part of the process, says BTA design manager Huw Davis.

Meanwhile, the English Tourist Board’s new marque, designed by Team Saatchi, is scheduled for a launch in July.
