I-Design brings warm interiors into Graze

I-Design is putting the finishing touches to Graze, the latest restaurant venture from entrepreneur Soren Jessen and Jamie Grainger-Smith, manager and co-founder respectively of Jamie Oliver’s Fifteen restaurant.

Graze, formerly the Otto Dining Lounge and originally designed by Mick Meremitch, will be ‘completely transformed’ from a bar venue to a high-end restaurant serving modern European food. It is located in West London, on 215 Sutherland Avenue, and will open this week.

The restaurant will seat up to 72 and the bar will hold 140 people.

I-Design was appointed at the beginning of the year, with a brief to ‘warm up’ and introduce some ‘femininity’ to the venue’s interiors, explains Grainger-Smith, who is manager at Graze.

The walls will be decorated with rich pink and red paints using a special plastering technique to give a leathery effect. Artwork will be displayed throughout the restaurant and contemporary and antique French gilt chandeliers will offset two-tone voile curtains.

In the lounge, Missoni drapes will be draped to create partitions and to separate areas off for private dining and events.
