Terry’s Suchard picks pack mix

Terry’s Suchard is reviewing its packaging design roster. Consultancies on the existing roster and aspiring groups are waiting to hear if they have been successful.

Group product manager Chris Stephens says it was time to review the company’s existing list, which was formed nearly four years ago.

The current line-up comprises Lewis Moberly, Design Bridge, FLB, Elmwood and Templar Marketing and Design.

A number of additional groups have been shortlisted, says Stephens. Wickens Tutt Southgate and Pearlfisher have confirmed that they have made credentials pitches to the client. Pearlfisher creative director Jonathan Ford says he is “optimistic” about his consultancy’s inclusion.

Existing roster members say they were also asked to make credentials pitches. Lewis Moberly is tipped by industry sources to be dropped from the new line-up for the Kraft Jacobs Suchard subsidiary.

The review, which started in June, has been delayed by restructuring within Terry’s Suchard’s marketing department. Stephens expects to make a decision by November, after the company’s new marketing director Malcolm Kerr has been brought up to speed on the process.
