Red Pepper seeks a supportive partner

ON-screen specialist Red Pepper Film Company has approached at least three unnamed high profile graphics consultancies, with a view to merging.

Red Pepper was set up in London’s Camden seven years ago and specialises in television brand identity and title sequences. It has created identities for the Bravo and Discovery channels, and worked with ITV on elements of its World Cup ’98 branding.

“We have got to the stage where we want to broaden our offer by joining up with another, much bigger, group. We can offer TV and sponsorship expertise,” says Richard Markell, account manager of the five-strong group.

Markell is looking for a group with a strong creative reputation.

He is using the recent acquisition of screen graphics group Plume by graphics and multimedia consultancy The Attik as the blueprint for a possible alliance. Under that agreement, Plume dropped its name and was subsumed into The Attik (DW 13 March).

Markell has a meeting lined up with a non-London consultancy next week, and says others are in the pipeline.
