Flying Scotsman ditches on transatlantic crossing

The Flying Scotsman, the A3 class locomotive designed by Sir Nigel Gresley, which was built in Doncaster in 1923, is on the market.

That’s right, property advisers GVA Grimley have been instructed to sell steam engine No 4472, and apparently interest has already been shown by two American bidders. So get your bids in quick if you need something to practise your livery design on.

It might look quite novel in the office front window.
