BT favours Pauffley over roster

Telecoms giant BT has reallocated the job of designing its annual report and accounts from Johnson Banks to Pauffley. The appointment represents the first time the consultancy has worked with BT.

Pauffley’s appointment to the corporate reporting position follows a three-way paid creative pitch late last year.

The job consists of designing BT’s annual report, summary financial statements and interim reports. The consultancy, which had pitched unsuccessfully for the work on two previous occassions, will be involved with both print and on-line versions of the reports.

A BT spokesman says: “This is the sort of exercise which we do regularly to ensure we are getting the best value [from the design groups we are working with] and to refresh the design.

“It is not to say we are unhappy with Johnson Banks in any way,” he adds.

“I think we need to carefully consider the audience to which this work is directed,” says Nick Glanvill, project leader for Pauffley, of the BT report.
