Don’t blame Rover’s failure just on design

Peter Stevens is a very talented designer and will, undoubtedly, make an effective contribution to Phoenix. It would be churlish, however, not to acknowledge the heavyweight design capability which existed in the Rover Group.

Its failure can hardly be blamed on design quality: the Freelander is a huge success and the Rover 75 has rightly received international acclaim for the elegance of its design.
