The newest and biggest wine producer in the Languedoc region of France has a brand identity and labelling created by Design & Art in London.

The Comte Cathare brand operates under three price levels – prestige, mid-range and table (pictured), which is intended to compete with New World wines.

The lower-priced range is more fashion-oriented, featuring bright Mediterranean colours, a “peasant” Cathar cross and Mambo typeface, says a consultancy spokeswoman.

The bottles are currently going on shelf for the Christmas market.
