Graduates deserve to get a foot in the door

I was interested in Estelle Baylis’ letter (Letters, DW 1 September). We have a recruitment policy where we take new graduates for six months only.

We have a recruitment policy where we take new graduates for six months only. This is regardless of how good they might be. We refuse to let them stay longer and we encourage them to develop their creative book and go to interviews to find the next job.

In short, we want to give graduates an opportunity to start in our industry. In return, we get a fresh turnover of talent which has not been crushed with the realities and practicalities of the design world.

It’s fun for all and a small, but worthy commitment to the next generation of designers.
