Met Studio changes name

MET Studio has reformed under a new name, Met Studio Design, following the voluntary liquidation of the original company earlier this year (DW 22 January).

But while the group is trading under essentially the same name, it is under new management. The managing director of the renamed group is Chris Cawte, Met Studio Design staff confirm.

Alex McCuaig, managing director of the original MET Studio, remains at the group but a spokeswoman declines to comment on his job title, or to name other directors.

Seven unnamed staff, including three designers, were made redundant in January when Met Studio was placed into liquidation. Management said then that the move was necessary to protect projects and clients.
