Wigan Pier museum

Exhibitions consultancy Richard Fowler Associates is to design the Robert Opie Museum at Wigan Pier, which features a collection of everyday consumer goods and packaging.

Richard Fowler has been working on a paid design development study for the job since last August, when he won a written proposals pitch against four consultancies.

‘There was no guarantee we would be the company to actually do the design work, but the implication was that if the study ran well it would be us,’ says Fowler. The museum will open in spring 1998.
