Five compete in TNT pitch

Europe’s leading express distribution service TNT Express Worldwide is holding a credentials pitch for its identity. Wolff Olins, Landor Associates, Sampson Tyrrell Enterprise, Dutch group Studio Dumbar and South African-based KSDP Pentagraph make up the pitch list, says a TNT spokesman.

TNT’s identity was created by Landor in the mid-1980s. The Australian company is now part of KPN in The Netherlands since it was bought last December.

The pitch is to design the marque for a self-sufficient business unit held by KPN for integrated units of the domestic business and TNT Express Worldwide along with BTT Post.

The spokesman could not say whether a new identity for TNT Express Worldwide will be part of the brief. An appointment will be made in six to eight weeks’ time.
